Classic hotel rooms present guests with disabilities with one or two challenges: doors that are too narrow, a shower with a raised entrance, power sources and fittings at an inaccessible height, a bed that is too high or too low, not to mention public transport that is not suitable for the disabled and with which the hotel could be reached at all. Anyone who is physically handicapped has to think of many things - no wonder if the holiday feeling under these circumstances does not want to adjust itself at all.
Why do we tell them about it? Quite simply: We want every guest to feel at home with us, and to feel as comfortable as you can feel in your "temporary home". We have therefore taken our recently completed renovation as an opportunity to make one of our rooms completely barrier-free. At 21 square metres, it is not only larger than the other rooms, but also offers a wider entrance door through which wheelchairs or walkers fit comfortably. It is also equipped with a comfort pull-out bed, which can be extended from 90 cm to 1.70 m. The bathroom convinces with a ground-level, drivable shower, a shower stool and foldable handles on the WC. In general, we have attached great importance to ensuring that everything in the room is easily accessible and within reach. The Nordic living ambience, which can also be found in all other rooms, has of course been retained in our barrier-free room. We remain true to our motto "Fresh, friendly, Nordic" in every respect.
By the way, the Hotel NordRaum is also suitable for handicapped guests who travel together with an accompanying person, as the room has a connecting door. Families with children can also spend the night here. And before you ask: Even in the breakfast room, in the lobby and in the hotel corridors, our guests with physical disabilities will have no problems whatsoever. So nothing stands in the way of a relaxing holiday or a relaxed business trip - in the truest sense of the word!
